So, I thought it would be interesting to make such a video in which we will talk about how PUBG came into existence? What are the reasons that it is this successful? And where does PUBG stands today? So, today's is going to be very interesting. Keep Watching! If you are new then, please subscribe to our channel, and turn on the notifications, and we are now on Instagram as well, so, follow "www.rttechs.in". The full name of PUBG is Player Unknown's Battlegrounds. PUBG is an online shooting game in which 100 players are dropped on an island where, by collecting the loot, they have to find weapons and gears and survive against other players. The play area decreases over time the last remaining player or team wins and gets "Chicken Dinner". Right now, if you are between the age of 20 or 30 years you must have played or heard of "Counter-Strike". Counter-Strike is a first-person shooting game# in which you are a part of a team and you have to defeat the other team. The main selling point of Counter-Strike was that by connecting a lot of computers to the same lane you can play it simultaneously with your friends or even strangers, in a single network. The era of Counter-Strike was of dial-up internet and slow speed and for a long time, the concept of internet gaming was not that popular. But then, Broadband internet got faster and faster. Over time, the concept of network gaming started growing up and we saw games like HALO and Call of Duty and then came the era of Open World games in which you can roam in an Open World and play according to your will, whether you want to follow the story or not and on the top of the list was, GTA. But for a long time, in the gaming community, there was a wish for a "Battle Royal" game. The meaning of Battle Royal is that there are a lot of players or teams but all of them are playing against each other and lastly, there is only a single winner. If we talk about the movies then we saw the same thing in "The Hunger Games", in which a lot of people are dropped in an area and there they have to fight each other and have to survive, and in the end, only one player emerges. So, with these first-person shooter games, when you mix open-world concept, internet gaming, and battle royal, then here enters, Brendan Green a.k.a. Player Unknown Brendan Greene was an Irish Photographer and Web designer which had a lot of interest in gaming and his special wish was of a Battle Royal game.

The culture of modding came heavily at that time, the meaning "modding" is a modification and there were a lot of games which had a built-in functionality that you can modify them and the players could make there own versions of that game and at this time, a very famous game was launched in online first-person shooters which were "ARMA" the uniqueness of ARMA was that it was hyper-realistic meaning its graphic was of next-generation when you played that you get a very realistic feeling of its physics and all the environment. Along these lines, Brendan Greene to complete his fondness of Battle Royal game made a Battle Royal mod of ARMA II, and here he laid the very first foundation of PUBG. After this Battle Royal mod of ARMA II, Brendan Greene became very influential in the communities of Battle Royal gaming and modding because this Battle Royal mod of his was very successful. After this, Sony Computer Entertainment also hired Brendan Greene and he also worked on H1Z1 and while all of this was happening, C. H. Kim laid eyes on Brendan Greene who was a game developer in a game developing company of South Korea "Blue Hole" which then became PUBG Corporation. and he wanted to make a full-fledged Battle Royal game. He saw that Brendan Greene has a lot of influence in Battle Royal gaming and the mod he made for the ARMA II was also very successful. So, C. H. Kim offered a position of a game developer in Blue Hole. The vision of C. H. Kim was that he will match the ideas and insights of Brendan Greene with the teams and resources of his company. And at the start of 2016 Brendan Greene moved to South Korea and started the game development of PUBG and because of this, Player Unknown's Battlegrounds meaning PUBG came into existence, and in March 2017, it was first launched on PC. For the first time in the world, such a game came, which completed all the needs of a "Battle Royal" game. Its gameplay was very enjoyable, you can play it with your friends, sitting at your home, can talk to your friends in real-time, can make strategies, and its concept was of an Open World in which you can go anywhere in a huge map. Because of the player area shrinking over time the players had no choice but to fight each other and there was a constant tension and adrenaline rush, and with time, PUBG has added new maps, new weapons, new vehicles, and different game modes were also included. What is the thing you like the most about PUBG? Do share it with me in the comment section. Because of all of these qualities, PUBG lite was extremely successful, and after March 2017 1 million copies of PUBG were sold in a month till June 2017 4 Million copies were sold, till August PUBG became the most played game on Steam, and at the end of 2017 PUBG was launched on Xbox One. But in my eyes, the biggest turn for PUBG came in March 2018 when PUBG Mobile was launched and till June 2019, meaning in a single year, PUBG Mobile was downloaded, 400 million times, meaning 40 Crore times and it had 50 million active users meaning there were 5 Crore active players, and in these 2 years PUBG revived numerous awards and accolades and it was appreciated by the whole world. So, in my opinion, PUBG reflects a new era in which by sitting at home by tapping the screen of your phone you can launch such a game which can be played by even sitting on your couch and at the same time you are connected with your friends while talking to them, and you are emerged in a different world with them. When we were little, the things we have to go to Gaming Zone for, had to buy hours, and then we played that game on a limited land the same thing now we can do for free, we can do it while staying at home and those devices are always in our pocket, whenever we have some time, we can play PUBG by taking them out of our pockets. And this is just the beginning going forward we will see 5G, Augmented reality, Virtual reality, and the internet of things, so, we shall see what happens, but for now, we will keep playing PUBG on our phones I hope you liked today's Blog.
